If you discover a fire
Raise the alarm immediately by shouting “FIRE” and activating the nearest fire alarm call point.

On hearing the fire alarm
Leave the building immediately using the nearest available fire exit.
Do not stop to collect personal belongings.
Assist anyone who may need help evacuating.
Do not use the kitchen door unless it is your closest safe route.
Close doors behind you if possible to slow the spread of fire.
Assembly (Muster) Point
Once outside, proceed directly to the recreation ground.
Stay together and remain at the muster point until further instructions are given.
Checks and responsibilities
Event organiser (Hirer) / duty volunteer will:
Call 999 and request the Fire Service.
Ensure everyone has evacuated.
Take a register or headcount at the muster point.
Do not re-enter the building until declared safe by the Fire Service.
General safety notes
